Heartland HEMA Heartland HEMA is one of the top HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) schools in the mid-west/ great plains region. Located in beautiful Kansas City, Missouri, Heartland HEMA specializes in instructing students of all levels and physical ability in the use of a variety of renaissance and medieval.
Whether you have a personal goal, a combat event you need to get ready for, or you simply want to live better, one thing is for sure – our trainers won’t give up on you.
Our Vision
Heartland HEMA teaches the art of the sword as it would have been taught and practiced historically in Europe. The tradition Heartland HEMA follows is mainly Italian based. There is also a heavy influence from Scotland and the British Isles.
